When synchronizing data, a distinction must be made between different areas.
Status Messages
In general, the status of the respective EL mailarchive instance is queried at short intervals. Based on this data, the status—whether an instance is running or not—is transmitted, and corresponding notifications and warnings are displayed within the Control Panel.
Data Exchange Between EL mailarchive and the MailStore Server
Data from the MailStore Server is synchronized every 3 hours. During this process, the data read by MailStore is transferred to EL mailarchive. This includes all usage data, which is also displayed in the Control Panel reports.
Alternatively, a manual synchronization can be performed via the instance’s detail view.
Data Exchange Between EL mailarchive and the Control Panel
All collected usage data is transferred to the database table for analysis at 10:00 p.m. The report is therefore generally based on the previous day’s information.
