End-user access to the EL mailarchive repository

EL mailarchive powered by MailStore offers various options for accessing archived emails.

Each user can be granted access to their user archive in different ways. Under the “Clients & Integration” section, you’ll find the installation files for the EL mailarchive client and the EL mailarchive Outlook add-in in the properties of the EL mailarchive instance in the Control Panel.

Thanks to the proven MailStore technology, the following options are available to you:

1. Client

The client is installed as a Windows application directly on your customer’s PC. The software allows users to search for and read emails and—depending on user permissions—set up archiving and export jobs.

The client can be downloaded within an EL mailarchive customer instance via the Clients & Integration tab: Client Manual.

In this article, you’ll also learn how to deploy the MSI package via Group Policy.

2. Web Access

The web interface allows access from anywhere in the world via a browser, without the need for installation. This makes it possible to quickly search for and view emails and easily restore them from the archive.

The direct link to the login page can be found within an EL mailarchive instance under the “Clients & Integration” tab, in the “Instance URL” field: Web Access Manual.

3. Outlook Add-in

The add-in for Microsoft Outlook enables seamless integration of the email archive into the program interface. Here, users can search, view, and restore emails via a separate tab.

The direct download link is provided via the EL mailarchive instance under Clients & Integration: to the Outlook Add-in Manual.

4. IMAP Access

IMAP technology allows read-only access to an EL mailarchive archive. For example, on macOS or Linux, the archive can be accessed using the client software available on those platforms. This also ensures fast and easy access on Android and iOS.

The IMAP settings can be retrieved directly from the EL Control Panel in an instance under the Clients & Integration tab in the IMAP Server section: Go to the IMAP manual.
