Can two-factor authentication (2FA) be set up for the Control Panel?

Two-factor authentication is a security procedure in which a user identifies themselves using two different and independent factors. Enable two-factor authentication to increase the security of your login. Instead of relying only on your password, you will also need a mobile device of your choice.

You can activate this feature in the profile settings (accessible via your username in the top-right corner of the Control Panel).

Once two-factor authentication is enabled, you will be prompted during login to enter a secure, randomly generated token. This token can be obtained, for example, via the Google Authenticator app on your phone.

Important: We recommend storing the recovery codes shown during 2FA setup in a secure location (e.g. a password manager or printed and kept in a safe).

In addition to two-factor authentication, it is also possible to restrict access to the Control Panel to specific IP address ranges. You can find this option in the left-hand menu under “IP restrictions,” where you can enter the public WAN IP address of your router to limit access from your network.
