Can two-factor authentication (2FA) be set up for the Control Panel?
Two-factor authentication is a security procedure in which a user identifies themselves using two different and independent factors. Enable two-factor authentication to increase the security of your login. Instead of relying only on your password, you will also need a mobile device of your choice.
You can activate this feature in the profile settings (accessible via your username in the top-right corner of the Control Panel).
Once two-factor authentication is enabled, you will be prompted during login to enter a secure, randomly generated token. This token can be obtained, for example, via the Google Authenticator app on your phone.
Important: We recommend storing the recovery codes shown during 2FA setup in a secure location (e.g. a password manager or printed and kept in a safe).
In addition to two-factor authentication, it is also possible to restrict access to the Control Panel to specific IP address ranges. You can find this option in the left-hand menu under “IP restrictions,” where you can enter the public WAN IP address of your router to limit access from your network. Further information can be found in this KB article.
